Letter about Sicko

The following letter was published in the LA Daily News on July 3, 2007:

Michael Moore's movie, Sicko, reveals several problems with health care in America. On basic flaw is the practice of insurance companies paying bonuses to medical care reviewers who save the company money. Increasing profits is the primary result of the denial of treatment. This is a conflict of interest. Most professions, including mine (attorney at law), would not allow such a conflict. If insurance companies cannot eliminate such conflicts, they should not be allowed to handle health care.
